I was born and grew up in the US, mostly in California. I immigrated here to Canada in 1968 and got married in 1971. I finished u/g with a BA in psychology and received an LlB in 1978 from UBC. My husband, a lawyer also, and I practiced locally in Vancouver. He continues to practise but I left soon after my second child's birth 20 years ago. Children are most interesting so I haven't regretted leaving practice, although I wouldn't have minded being two people, one to practice law and the other to be with the kidniks.
Older child, daughter, is 22, married and is promising to make me a grandmother in the spring of 2006.
My interests include gardening, although that is getting very hard, on account of the residual injuries I suffered in a car accident on the Bay Bridge in 1967. I have been learning Chinese for a few years, ever so slowly, and I host a Macintosh computer users group at my house once a month.
Oh, and I'm rapidly backpedalling much of the renovations I had saved up for on account of everything costs so much. $4K for a door, say what ???? :)
